Scree penstemon (Penstemon harbourii; also: Harbour’s Penstemon, Harbour’s Beardtongue)
These were very high on the old road to Argentine Pass from the end of Peru Creek. They are obviously penstemon, but of a quite unusual variety. I have seen them only the once.
On July 28, 2011, a group of us went to the pass and found many clumps of these.
