Keller, North Couloirs

There are some fine lines visible on the N side of the E summit of Keller -- the one that is easy to get to. In this photo, the main summit is at far right and the east summit, which rises above the Boss Mine in Rock Creek, is in the center. Once the Rock Creek Road is open to its end, it would not be hard to reach this summit. The hike out at the end would involve finding the Gore Range Trail, but that would not be hard, and the hike back to Rock Creek and the car would then be short. This photo was taken during our ski ascent of Bloodshaw Mountain in 2006. For more on this peak see the report on the Kelloirs in the Summit County/Gore Range section.
