Skiing the East Face of Mt. Massive (Leslie Ross, March 2000)
Leslie Ross skiing from the summit of Mt. Massive (14421') in March, 2000, after we camped out at 11300'. This east face provides good late-season skiing, and I have skied it as late as July 17. Once, in January, Bill Briggs and I climbed Massive in one day, but the upper regions were much too rocky to ski.
